Y'know, life can be hard sometimes. But when the sun shines on you, you really can't cry. Except if you get hit by a truck. See, if you get hit by a truck and the sun is shining, you would still cry. If you weren't dead that is. If you were dead, other people would cry. That's how life is my friends. It's not easy to understand, I know.

Got into the school I wanted, my paycheck arrived, the sun is shining and I'm 20 today, could things get any better? Nope, you're wrong, cause Kiefer, Laurie and I had a threesome last night.

And I also got a new layout, yay!

O, hoy!
It's been a while since I last posted here, and since I'm not in the mood to write long rants and updates about what's going on in my life right now I'll just post a music meme. I'm not in a bad mood, I just don't feel like writing long texts that's supposed to make sense. ;P

Music meme thingie... )

I got a B on my guitar/piano exam! *fanfare*

THIS IS MY HAPPY FACE.

Hah, I read a funny article about some people from China who said all this funny shit about Norway and how they think it is here. I had a great laugh, most of them had no clue! So I thought I'd ask you guys what your thoughts about Norway is. What is the first thing you think about when you think of Norway? What's "typical norwegian" to you? What do you know about this little unimportant country of mine? Hmm? Hm...? Answer me, ANSWER ME!?! (haha, marry me, Simon Quinlank)

And btw:

14Take that, rugrats!

Mmm, Streets Of Philadelphia is made of win.

Yesterday was the first time I visited LJ for almost three weeks! I know it sucks, but I've had SO much to do lately; exams, work, moving and so on. But I've really missed it acutally, it's funny how fast it became a very important part of my day. It's so fun to read peoples posts and comments here. I know I could have just visited a couple of times instead of cutting it off completly, but I have to admit I'm not made for that kind of dicipline. :P If I'm gonna have some, I'm gonna have it all. It's like crack, man. And I hate missing out on things, so now I've gone back 300-and-something entries back at my friend page and read most of it. It took me about two hours. *facepalm*

Sooo, I have to apologize to all the new people who I've friended lately, I really am interessted in reading and comment your journals! I guess I've mad a sucktastic first impression. ;P But hey, now I'm back and ready to get social. Hehe.

DID I MENTOIN HOW FRIGGIN' MUCH I'VE MISSED READING FANFIC?

Rock on!

Fuck.

F U C K

My heart hurts.

I think this is the first epiode I didn't once think about House/Cameron. I didn't even notice her absence until she appeared. Wicked.

This two-parter made up for the whole crappy season. Have there ever been a more moving episode before??

And I didn't even like Amber.

Leonard should get a fucking prize.

Baaarf. This week has been way too hectic. Exams are coming up and I've got a big test tomorrow. I have to know, name and place close to 80 songs, all classical music. So there's basiclly everything from the middle ages too baroque too impressionism. And I'm sick to my stomach of violins and opera now, if I so much as hear the word "Bach" in the near future I know I'm gonna freak out. Some of the music have truly been a pleasure listening too, like the old gregorian choir songs and the awsome Pirates Of The Caribbean'ish music from the romanticism. And Tchaikovsky's music from The Nutcracker. Really beautiful. But now I need a break from it all and decided to have som fun here on LJ. Though I can't see how talking about it makes me take a break from it. So I'll shut up now.

Hmm, what to say. I bought a new plant for my fish, Beelzebub, yesterday. But I think he might be afraid of it, he always swim close the the wall and acts rather stressed-out. At least when I'm looking. ;P So he's afraid of a green plant, but not the eye-slicing pink colored stones in the bottom of his bowl. Freak.

Piano exam in one month. I've only got half of the repertoire finished. Anyone's got any idea for songs that is not too complicated? I think I'm gonna play/sing Boomtown Rats' I Don't Like Mondays (yes, highly House-inspired), so I tried to figure it out a week ago and now the intro sounds like this (haven't read it off any scores or notes, just playing it like I hear it, so I know it's not all like the original):

I'm gonna get some girls from my class to enjoy the sunny weather with me tomorrow. Nothing sounds better then a nice walk in the park and an outdoor-restaurant right now. I'm talking totally beer-time. Too long since we all just hung out with nothing special to do. Aah, life.

Take care, people! :D

To everyone outside the US, I've found a cure for our "must-see-new-House-episopes-asap" disease.
So I thought I'd share it with you. :)
To watch full-lenght episodes of the tv-shows on Fox.com you technically have to live in the US to stream the player.
But I've found a software, UltraSurf, wich enables users outside the US with heavy internet censorship so that any public web site can be entered safly and freely.

This works perfectly for me on the Fox site. The House eps is streaming perfectly and everything works fine. I've had some problems on ABC and NBC networks though. Don't know what's worng, but it might just be something with my browser. I dunno. But I'm not crying myself to sleep because of it either, cause my main target was the Fox site. :D

NB! I do not take any responsibility for any "side effects" your computer might get from this download. I'm not saying this because I think there's anything wrong with it, I'm just covering my ass. :P It's been perfectly safe for me, but if you like, you can read about the software and download the userguide here: http://www.ultrareach.com/company/download.htm

One more thing. Despite the fact that I am a devoted FireFox user, this is set up for Internet Explorer. And it wont work in FireFox. (It doesn't work with me. But maybe it works with you.) So to all toy FireFox'es out here, dig up yout Explorer browser and start the installation.

Edit: If you are using browser other than Explorer, you have to modify your proxy IP address to 127.0.0.1 with port :9666.

How to get started:

1. Dowload the software: http://www.wujie.net/downloads/ultrasurf/u.zip
2. The Explorer browser will pop up and you will see a golden padlock down in the right corner.
3. Go to the Fox site and have a ball!

Let me know if you're having any problems. :) I can do my best to help.

Rock on,
Lydia
